A little torn today....

Woke up early and did some fishing. Now back and relaxed and trying to catch up on all of the draft picks that I missed. (Seattle has a ton of them today)

But my beloved NY Knicks are playing their game 1 playoff game in Miami at 3:30 EST and I need to put down the laptop. I know they have no chance in this series, but I have been a Knicks fan as long as I have been a Seahawks fan, and getting to the playoffs has been something that doesnt happen very often.

So off to watch the Knicks, and to hope they steal one today or Monday in Miami. Fugheddabout all that Jeremy Lin BS...I've been there since before Ewing, Starks and Oakley. My Pop used to take me to watch St. Johns when I was a kid, and we always stopped by the garden on the way back for a NY Pretzel.

Well our all-defensive rookie, Iman Shumpert, went down with what looks like a pretty significant knee injury and that really hurt us.

After that blow-out, maybe I should have stuck to just watching draft coverage. Ugh...time for a bourbon.

Its funny you mention that because I just watched a special on CNBC about the story of the Sonics leaving. It showed political and social sides and found it very interesting because I was really unaware of how it all went down.

Being 100% unbiased I can honestly say that dude Clay (forgot his last name but the guy that bought and moved the team to OKC) was a total asshole and douchenozzle.

I feel bad for the fans, and the city for how it all went down. Sucks.

yeah, we got gang raped by clay bennett, howard schultz, mayor nickels and the commish... and they didnt even use lube.... the worst part is people in other cities think it had something to do with lack of fan support.... not true, just lack of support for replacing a ten year old perfectly fine arena and lack of political will by local government to fight off the theives and vultures.

oh well... now we have to become the bad guys for someone else and steal a team if we want one..... I hate the way pro sports operate.

Separate note, I hope the NJ Devils go all the way and win the Stanley Cup since the Bruins got owned early on in the Playoffs
